Happy Tuesday! And Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Finally got a chance to organize our categories selection. We added a “Janet” and “Josie” category so if you’re interested in searching in one author’s post you can do that now 🙂 Thanks so much for reading our blog!
My friend, Binh, introduced me to Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence and my first thought was “yes! I found the perfect facial sunscreen!” I don’t like to tan and now that it’s getting warmer and the sun is out longer, I need to protect my face from the sun.
So, let’s review this product. Biore is a well know product and a brand that I trust. This product is made specifically to their Japanese market. It has SPF 50 / PA+++ and provides both UVA and UVB protection. The water-based formula promises to be non-sticky, non-greasy, and to provide sun protection without leaving a white residue.
I apply the sunscreen right before moisturizer so it’s important to understand that this is not a moisturizer replacement. What I like about this product is how quickly it absorbs to the skin. It has a very light pleasant smell that dissipates after application. The packaging is nothing spectacular, a soft plastic tube with a standard cap.
I purchased this item from Amazon, a package of 2 for almost $20. Very affordable for a chemical based sunscreen. Let’s hope this will keep my face from tanning! Hope you have a wonderful day!

This product sounds really nice! I’d never heard of it before but I’m always on the lookout for an SPF that does the job without being too greasy or heavy.
Happy Cinco de Mayo to you as well Josie!!!! 🙂

This sounds so perfect! I loooove being tan but I know it’s horrible for your skin, so I’m on the lookout for a solid sunscreen. I think this may be the one for my face!

I just checked it out on amazon and saw the ingredients and it seems like a good product. I’m allergic to certain types of sunscreen with zinc oxide and there’s not a drop in this one. 🙂 Maybe I’ll give this one a try, I worry about sun spots/freckles, I’m so prone to them. Great review! Xo ❤

Oh so you actually can’t any type of alcohol on your skin? Are you able to have a drink here and there or is that part of the allergy?

I’m diagnosing myself here hahaha I can’t use many chapsticks because of the alcohol content so I’m assuming that I could break out with anything with alcohol. Yep I have a really low tolerance on alcoholic drinks hahaha I get that nice Asian glow 😛 And when I get really red I start to break out. It sucks

Oh no! I get tiny hives with anything that has zinc oxide, they’re awful. I guess low tolerance isn’t bad though, one or two drinks and you’re good. lol 😀
