I hope everyone has a fun and safe New Year’s Eve ❤️
Tonight I will be with my husband and friends celebrating at a friend’s new home. Small and simple and with people we love. I wanted to do the bar scene with Josie but then realized I didn’t pack a dress or heels and buying a whole new outfit didn’t really make much sense.
I have no idea what I am going to wear to our friend’s house but thankfully it won’t be a too dressed up affair. I did find a pair of grey suede heels from my last visit and tall black boots so there is hope!! It should be very interesting what I come up with tonight lol
All morning I have been playing with my new lipsticks that friends and Dan got me. They are gorgeous colors! I love you Nars Auadacious Lipsticks!!!
From left to right we got Vera at the top, Anna, then Carmen, and last but not least Angela.
It’s hard to take good pictures at my parents’ house so I look forward to next week to take way better pictures of my new additions.

Happy New Year Janet! I hope you had fun ringing in the new year!!! Excited to blog alongside you in 2015–it better be good to both of us. Also, I want all those NARS lippies, but I have sooo much lipstick. I’m going to be a lip-wearing ghost after I die.

Lololol Romy, I love the thought of being a lip wearing ghost with you. I have way too many lipsticks too but I have a slight obsession with these dang Nars lipsticks, I need them all lol

Just cause your dead, don’t mean you can’t be fabulous darling! Haha! I went to pick up a refill NARS concealer and I had to pretend I didn’t notice the audacious lipsticks. I’m reeeally trying to work through my current stash.

Omg yes resist! Because once you start you need them all! The formula is so smooth and creamy, well their darker shades the nudes aren’t as creamy but still good just not great.

Ohh that’s good to know that the nudes aren’t as creamy. There was one nude color I was eye-ing, but I hate a lipstick that dries me out.

Which one was it? Because some are creamy and some aren’t. For the not creamier ones I put lipgloss on top and it feels much nicer. It’s hard to explain but with the darker shades they stand alone great but the lighter colors need a tad more gloss

I understand! I was looking at Brigitte, but I think I might just go for the dark berry, Charlotte. There’s still a couple more months before summer!!

Omg I don’t own Brigitte and almost bought her but decided to hold out. She felt really nice when I swatched her and such a pretty shade! I own Charlotte and love love love her! But again I don’t think you can go wrong choosing a dark shade they are all so good 🙂

I have some serious janandjot catch up to do! I’m waaaay behind! Anyway, I’ve been eyeing these lipsticks, and lusting after all the WordPress posts about them. What do you really think? Worth the hype??

I honestly love them! I own 20 of them eek, but they are just so creamy and so smooth, but it depends on the color. I own a couple of the nudes and they vary in texture and long lasting ability compared to the dark shades. I love the darker shades the most and depending on which shade you get depends how long they last. Off the top of my head Janet and Charlotte are the longest lasting even after eating the stain is there and that’s really nice. Anita and Raquel not so long lasting or creamy. I love Grace, Lana, and Greta and even though they aren’t as long lasting as their darker counterparts I love how they look and the colors are such happy colors that once summer hits I won’t be able to put these down. For reds I love Carmen the most! I have been wearing her non stop that I haven’t had a chance to play with Vera, Angela, or Anna. I recently ordered Vivien and Vanessa off the Nars site and can’t wait to get them. Also I love Jeanne and Leslie a lot and if they had a baby they would produce Sandra (which all 3 are my favorite winter/fall colors). I recently found out Barneys sells them in store and thank goodness I didn’t know before and my closest Barneys is in Chicago because I would have gone bankrupt swatching and purchasing the whole line. I hope you get one because you won’t regret it!
