My sister Susie loves to barbecue and makes this delicious easy short ribs that are always a hit. I decided to bring some to our friend’s Labor Day BBQ.
-6-7lbs of short ribs 1/4″ thick cut
-1 1/2 cup of Mamacita’s barbecue marinade
-1 squeeze lime
-1/2 can of 7-up
-2 cloves of garlic, minced
-1/4 tbsp of garlic powder
I like to soak my short ribs in cold water for 3 hours. Changing every hour to get rid of any residue. This will also tenderize the meat. But this is optional.
Mamacita’s barbecue marinade can be found in most Asian stores. If not available, any Korean BBQ marinade can be substituted.
Combine Mamacita’s barbecue marinade, 7-up, minced garlic, powder garlic and lime juice in a large container.
Add the short ribs and mix well. Making sure the short ribs are submerged
in this wonderful marinade. Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 hours.
